SpotAhead
Terms of Use
Terms for the SpotAhead app, website, data packs, and related support.
1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Use are between you and Resul Aybar Yazılım, located in Didim, Aydın, Türkiye, for the SpotAhead iPhone app, website, data-pack service, and related support. In these terms, "SpotAhead," "we," "us," and "our" refer to that operator.
Operator information is also available at https://resulaybar.com.tr. The SpotAhead website is https://spotahead.app.
By downloading or using SpotAhead, you agree to these terms and the Apple license terms below. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Mandatory rights granted by applicable consumer law are not excluded or reduced.
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, that person must review and accept these terms for you.
2. Apple license terms
The licensed iPhone application is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, unless a different custom EULA is displayed by Apple for SpotAhead. The Apple Standard EULA is incorporated into these terms for the app license. These supplemental terms govern SpotAhead's service, data packs, website, and product-specific rules.
If these supplemental terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA about the application software, the Apple Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict, subject to its exceptions for separately licensed components. Apple is not responsible for the SpotAhead service except as the EULA or applicable law expressly says.
Offline data packs are separately licensed. The operator does not restrict the copying, modification or redistribution permitted by their data licenses. This does not amend your agreement with Apple.
3. What SpotAhead provides
SpotAhead is a road-stop companion. It uses the current road and direction to surface qualifying fuel, food, and EV charging stops ahead. It is not turn-by-turn navigation, a route planner, an emergency service, or an exhaustive place directory.
This release includes Live Drive using real location, real-driving results, stop details, maps, filters, navigation handoff, guided Demo Drives using simulated movement, data-pack management, and settings without payment.
4. Free release and future offers
This version is free and has no subscriptions, trials, or in-app purchases. There is no renewal, payment, or purchase restoration required to use its features.
Future versions or features may have different pricing. Any paid offer will be explained separately before you choose to purchase it. Using this free release does not authorize a future charge or enroll you in a subscription.
5. Safe and lawful use
Do not interact with SpotAhead while driving unless it is lawful and safe. Configure the app before moving, use a passenger where possible, and stop in a safe place before making a selection.
Always follow current road signs, closures, traffic controls, weather, charging instructions, fuel restrictions, and directions from competent authorities. Do not rely on SpotAhead for emergency response, medical needs, range guarantees, or a location where a mistake could cause injury or serious damage.
You are responsible for your device mount, connectivity, vehicle operation, local driving laws, and the decision whether and where to stop. A suggested stop may be closed, inaccessible, unsafe, on the wrong road, or otherwise unsuitable despite our filtering.
6. Data, coverage, and availability
Road geometry, access rules, stop details, opening hours, amenities, connector details, and other map information can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Coverage focuses on supported intercity roads and does not include every road, business, charger, or service area.
Core road matching and stop search can run locally after the relevant pack is installed. Internet access is still needed for catalogue checks, pack downloads and updates, Apple platform services, maps, and a navigation provider. We may add, update, replace, suspend, or remove coverage when data, safety, law, licensing, or technical conditions require it.
Downloaded packs consume device storage. The app may refuse or stop a download when free space is insufficient. Keep packs current and verify important details independently before relying on them.
7. Third-party services
SpotAhead relies on or links to services supplied by Apple, website and CDN providers, OpenStreetMap contributors, and navigation apps such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze. Their content, availability, privacy practices, and terms are controlled by them, not SpotAhead.
When you select Navigate, you ask SpotAhead to transfer the chosen destination to the provider you selected. That provider calculates the final route and may need your current location and network access. Review its route before driving.
8. Ownership, feedback, and data licenses
SpotAhead, its design, software, text, graphics, compilation, and product identity are owned by the operator or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The Apple EULA grants the limited app license. Data licenses are granted below; ownership is not transferred.
Road and stop data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Data Commons Open Database License 1.0. Electric-vehicle charging information may also include data from OpenChargeMap and its named data providers. Those records remain subject to the provider-specific licenses and attribution links shown in SpotAhead's Settings → Data Sources & Licenses screen. A downloaded road pack also carries the exact source and provider notices applicable to that pack.
The operator offers its rights in SpotAhead's compiled offline regional databases under the Open Data Commons Open Database License 1.0. Source records retain their own licenses and notices. This grant covers database rights held by the operator; it does not license the application software or trademarks.
In app versions with data export, open Settings → Data Sources & Licenses to export a free copy of the complete installed SQLite database, its release identifier and checksum, and applicable source notices.
If your app version does not offer export, contact support@spotahead.app with the pack name and release identifier to request that complete database and its notices free of charge.
The dated publisher notice applies alongside the original immutable metadata, including where older metadata did not declare a compilation license.
Polish service-area information also uses the register of Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad (GDDKiA), under its public-information reuse terms. SpotAhead uses this register to identify Polish service areas and match them to road access.
SpotAhead filters, normalizes, matches, combines, and restructures source records and calculates road-access information to produce each offline regional database. Those SpotAhead processing steps are not changes made or endorsed by the original contributors or providers.
Third-party marks and data remain the property of their owners and subject to their licenses. Nothing in these terms limits rights that an applicable open-data license grants directly to you. If a provider-specific notice conflicts with this general description, the provider-specific notice controls for that data.
If you send suggestions or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use that feedback to evaluate and improve SpotAhead, without identifying you publicly unless you agree.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use SpotAhead unlawfully or in a way that creates a safety risk;
- interfere with, overload, probe, or bypass security of the app, website, CDN, or related service;
- circumvent access or technical controls;
- introduce malware or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data; or
- remove attribution, ownership, copyright, or license notices, except where law permits.
These restrictions do not prohibit activity expressly protected by mandatory law, an applicable open-source or open-data license, or a written authorization from us.
You may export installed data or download licensed data packs from the public CDN, including by automated requests, and reuse them under their licenses without using the app.
10. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update SpotAhead and these terms for product, security, licensing, legal, or operational reasons. Material changes will be notified in the app, on the website, or by another appropriate method before they take effect when required. Continuing to use the service after an effective change means accepting it where law allows.
We may suspend access to protect users or systems, comply with law, address misuse, or discontinue a feature. You may stop using SpotAhead and delete it at any time. Terms that by their nature should continue, including ownership, disclaimers, and accrued rights, survive.
Changes to these terms do not withdraw data-license rights already granted to recipients who comply with those licenses.
11. Warranty and liability
The Apple Standard EULA contains the warranty and product-claim terms for the licensed app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpotAhead and its data are provided on an "as available" basis and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, complete coverage, or error-free road, stop, charger, opening-hour, or access information.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, data, business, or opportunity arising from the service. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death, personal injury, or mandatory consumer remedies.
12. Governing law, disputes, and contact
The Apple Standard EULA specifies law for the app license. These supplemental terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections and rights to use local courts remain available where applicable.
Before filing a claim, contact us so we can try to resolve it. Email support@spotahead.app or use the Support page. Privacy questions and rights requests are covered by the Privacy Policy.
